Over thirty years ago, a young and motivated man, M.S.Chong came from a village called Kanthan to the city, Ipoh. Being the eldest son of a family, he recognizes that the only way to improve life quality is to seek opportunities in city. Bringing the hopes that life in city might be better, he realizes that it is indeed harder. Nevertheless
all he has is patience and determination. This makes him go on despite the hardship.
He is grateful to his uncle (who also comes from the same village to the city much earlier) for offering him a chance to work in the city. Selling eggs for his uncle is indeed his first job. Along the route, he gets to sell and repair sewing machines as well. As he is running his small business, he gradually gets to enlarge his network and there he
comes into contact with a friend dealing with Kerosene and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG). With his friend's support, he finally gets a chance to step into this energy industry - an industry that is full of vitality.
In 1982, VIGOR is formally registered in Malaysia. This name is contributed by his brother, Tiny Cheong. As the company name goes, it represents a team of four young and energetic brothers which the other two called K.Cheong & Danny Cheong who joined the team later. With their hard work and dedication,
VIGOR has become what it is today; serving a spectrum of different industries, bringing energy and warmth to them.
